CROCKPOT CHEESEBURGER SOUP


Hey all!  Here’s a YUMMY new soup…and it’s not just any sort of soup.  It’s crockpot cheeseburger soup!  It’s creamy, EASY and absolutely amazing tasting…

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 carrots, diced or shredded
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 can chicken gravy (or a packet of chicken gravy made up according to directions ~or~ you can make your own (recipe below)
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) chicken broth
  • 3 cups frozen hash browns (or diced potatoes if you prefer, we used the hash browns)
  • 12 to 16 ounces Velveeta
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 to 3 cups milk (depending on how soupy you want your soup)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  • You are obviously going to need cooked ground beef…
  • You can use the traditional skillet if you want.  Which I think it cool because I use my cast iron skilletsalmost as often as my crockpots :)
